Position Filled: Digital Marketing Specialist (Strategic)

We are looking for a strategic marketer to help bridge the gap between our global sales, marketing, and support departments. This individual will work closely with our sales team to help analyse consumer data, and to design strategic pitches. More importantly they will assist with making quality checks across all our marketing channels. They should be a constant learner with a firm understanding of the inbound marketing landscape.

Key responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Creating client pitches and special strategic documents in PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator for our sales team

  • Analysing data from Heap Analytics, and applying it to streamline our sales and support teams

  • Discovering new client/consumer needs via our sales and support teams

  • Assisting with frequent brand reputation + SEO quality checks

  • Copywriting for our blog, which may include topics such as: case studies, missing use-cases, SMS templates, and other strategic pieces

  • Finding and testing new marketing tools or strategies that we can potentially use

  • Working closely with the support team to help optimise and enhance support content

  • Conducting industry related research, and bi-annual consumer surveys

  • Assisting our future CSM on high-level retention projects

Skills, experience, and qualities:

  • 3-4 years of experience in digital marketing

  • Exceptional writing skills (both technical and creative)

  • A strategic mindset

  • Firm understanding of inbound SEO

  • Intermediate Adobe Illustrator skills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Power Point skills

  • Beginner Adobe Photoshop skills

  • Genuine passion for the mobile marketing and messaging space

  • Be able to work well in a small team setting

The nitty gritty

  • Job type: 12 Month contract (extension likely upon annual review)

  • Compensation: $62,000 - $66,000 per year (CDN)

  • Time off: 4 weeks paid vacation. 10 sick/personal days. Australian holidays only.

  • Working hours: Sunday-Thursday (11:00am-7:30pm)

  • Location: 2025 Main Street, Vancouver (Inside the new WeWork)
