With the recent addition of UTF8 encoded characters to our Burst SMS platform, special characters can now be included in SMS messages. This also includes sending text messages in different languages such as Chinese, and picture symbols as well.
While the selection is currently small and does not extend to proper Emojis just yet, there are a few interesting characters you can use. You can cut and paste them directly from here into your message window to send them.
Master List of Emojis
*Update May 25, 2015: Expanded list of emojis now available
**Please note that UTF8 characters limit SMS to 70 characters. So you pay for each 70 instead of each 160 as with standard text.
