Burst SMS has been through a real growth phase this year and we just want to share with you, how we have come here and where we are going.
2016 - In Review
At the beginning of 2016 we had 6 staff and were sending around 4 million SMS per month. Once December came along we doubled our staff and hit 8 million messages per month, becoming one of the fastest growing technology companies in Asia Pacific.
We dedicated 2016 to scaling our platform. The original legacy systems were starting to feel the strain, and we made it our mission to add more stability by moving to Amazon AWS. This migration gave us a solid foundation for growth and future scalability. We admit the process was not without its challenges, however thanks to our dedicated team - we managed to completely migrate a large and growing system with as little downtime as possible.
2017 - Back to our Roots
We are now in the position to shift back to an innovation led focus, which has been driving our success from the beginning. We have been prototyping new advanced automation services, MMS delivery, larger Emoji character selections, list management processes, more responsive API services, and more integrations with your favourite applications. Through our improvements and new additions, we are focused on building a next generation service that will take us into the next phase of growth.
The first phase of this will focus on a new high performance campaign system, which will be released shortly. In addition to this, we are creating enterprise level monitoring systems and redundancies to further reduce any future platform downtime.
